The Federal Government Educational Institutions (Cantonments and Garrisons) Directorate, a department of the Ministry of Defence, has announced a new recruitment drive. The directorate is seeking to fill 207 vacant teaching and support staff positions across its schools and colleges. These vacancies are open to citizens from all provinces of Pakistan, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Azad Jammu and Kashmir.
Most of the new positions are for Elementary School Teachers (EST), with 121 seats for male and 71 for female candidates at BPS-14. Applicants for these roles must hold a 16-year degree in any discipline. A B.Ed. degree is not a requirement for eligibility.
Other available positions include:
- Librarian (Male, BPS-15) – one seat
- Library Assistant (Male, BPS-09) – two seats
- Assistant Librarian (Male, BPS-09) – eight seats
- Band Master (Male, BPS-06) – one seat
- Sewing Mistress (Female, BPS-06) – three seats
Age requirements for the posts are twenty to thirty-five years for BPS-14 and BPS-15. For BPS-06 and BPS-09 positions, the age limit is eighteen to thirty years. Age relaxation is granted in accordance with government rules. The official advertisement states, “The maximum age limit may be relaxed to the extent mentioned below. However, where a candidate is entitled to age relaxation under more than one category, he/she shall be allowed age relaxation only in one category.”
The application process is conducted entirely online at induction.fgei.gov.pk. Applicants are required to upload all necessary documents at the time of submission. Roll number slips must be downloaded from the website and brought to the test center, as no hard copies will be accepted.
Written tests will be conducted in six cities: Peshawar, Rawalpindi, Lahore, Multan, Karachi, and Quetta. Shortlisted candidates based on test results will be called for interviews and must present their original academic documents. Government employees must apply through the proper channels and provide a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their department at the time of the interview. The official guidelines emphasize that applications containing false or incomplete information will be rejected.
The last date to apply is September 23, 2025. Candidates are advised to submit applications early to avoid potential technical issues on the final day.
