National University of Medical Sciences (NUMS) has officially announced a new date for the Medical and Dental College Admission Test (MDCAT) 2025. The test, originally scheduled for September 14, will now take place on Sunday, September 28. This decision was made in light of the ongoing torrential rains and floods affecting many parts of the country.
In a statement on its official website, NUMS explained the change was necessary to ensure fairness and provide all candidates with an equal opportunity to appear for the exam. The university also extended its support to the people of Pakistan affected by the severe weather.
NUMS is the university responsible for conducting the MDCAT for admission to MBBS and BDS programs for the 2025-26 academic session. The test is a mandatory requirement for students seeking admission to NUMS constituent, affiliated, and military-administered medical and dental colleges.
This announcement provides clarity for thousands of students whose exam preparations were impacted by the recent weather conditions.
