1. Badshahi Masjid

Badshahi masjid is situated in Lahore, capital of Punjab, Pakistan. It was constructed in Mughal era by Mughal emperor Aurangzeb in 1671 to 1673. It was the largest mosque in the world from 1673 to 1986. This mosque is a great example of  Mughal Architecture and a great iconic sight in Pakistan.

2. Faisal Masjid

Faisal Masjid is the 6th largest mosque in the world. It is located in Islamabad, Pakistan. It is the largest mosque within South Asia and located in the foothills of Margalla Hills in Islamabad, the capital city of Pakistan. The mosque is built in contemporary design with 8 sides of concrete shell and is inspired by the typical style Bedouin tent instead of tomb style.

3. Shah Jahan Masjid

Shah Jahan Masjid (Jamia Masjid Thatta) is located in Thatta. This site is almost at 100 kilometers distance from Karachi. Shah Jahan Masjid was built during the reign of Mughal emperor Shah Jahan. This mosque is famous for extensive brickwork and use of blue tiles.

4. Masjid-e-Tooba

Masjid-e-Tooba also known as Tooba Masjid or Gol Masjid is located in phase 2 DHA  (Defense Housing Authority) Karachi, the capital city of Sindh, Pakistan. This mosque was built from 1966 to 1969. The Mosque has one dome without any pillars/columns with the area of 67 meters, and for this specialty claims to be the world’s largest single-dome mosque with no pillars in it’s central hall for prayer. This mosque was designed by Babar Hamid Chauhan, Pakistani architect. Tooba Masjid has capacity to hold almost 5,000 people.

5. Mahabat Khan Masjid

Mahabat Khan Mosque also spelt sometimes as Mohabbat Khan Masjid, was built during Mughal era in 17th century. It is situated in Peshawar, the capital city of KPK in Pakistan. The mosque was built in 1630 and named after the Governor of Peshawar Nawab Mahabat Khan bin Ali Mardan Khan as Mahabat Khan Mosque. This mosque is considered to be most iconic sight of Peshawar because of it’s white marble facades.

6. Masjid Wazir Khan

Masjid Wazir Khan is a 17th century built mosque. It is situated in Lahore, the capital city of the province Punjab, Pakistan. This mosque was commissioned during the reign of Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan. This mosque was constructed from 1634 to 1641. The famous Kashi Kari work was done in tiles for decoration of this mosque. This mosque is also listed in UNESCO World Heritage Tentative List.
