ISLAMABAD (Monitoring Desk): Education ministers have recommended closure of educational institutions for at least a month.

Suggestions were made to close educational institutions from November 25 to December 24 and postpone examinations in educational institutions.

According to private TV channels and online news networks, a meeting of inter-provincial education ministers is underway under the chairmanship of Federal Minister for Education Shafqat Mahmood. Provincial education ministers and other concerned officials are participating in the meeting through video link.

The meeting is reviewing the current situation in Corona, as well as consultations on winter vacations.

Sources said that the meeting will discuss the proposal for early winter and more holidays than usual.

The Ministry of Education had sent proposals for educational institutions to the provinces on the rise of Corona.

Sources said that the meeting of education ministers recommended the closure of educational institutions for one month. The meeting also recommended the closure of educational institutions from November 25 to December 24.

It has been suggested in the meeting that examinations in educational institutions should also be postponed. It may be recalled that the NCOC has already recommended the immediate closure of educational institutions.
