The Government of Pakistan has announced an official student trip to Türkiye for top-performing Matric students from all boards. The Inter Boards Coordination Commission (IBCC) issued a circular about the initiative, which is a joint effort between the Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training and the Directorate General of Immigration and Passports. This program gives students from Boards of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISEs) nationwide the opportunity to travel to Türkiye using official passports.
To be part of the trip, students must meet a few conditions before they depart.
These include providing a medical certificate from a government hospital confirming fitness for travel and written consent from parents or guardians. Participants must also bring two sets of white shalwar kameez with shoes, while a green blazer will be provided by the ministry.
Students are only allowed to carry one shoulder bag. Laptops and cameras are not permitted.
Parent or guardian contact information must also be provided in advance.
The IBCC has directed that all respective boards will cover the costs for pick and drop services for the students. The IBCC has instructed all BISEs to submit passports and other required documents of selected students to the IBCC Secretariat in Islamabad by September 19, 2025.
This is for onward transmission to the concerned authorities. The chairpersons of all BISEs are responsible for ensuring the program’s smooth implementation and guiding students through the process.
This initiative is a way to recognize academic excellence and give students exposure to a new culture. It offers a chance for students to experience international exposure, learn about Turkish culture, history, and education, and build confidence and leadership skills. This trip is an investment in the future of Pakistan’s youth.
